Activating APC and making it run properly on a cPanel server might not be an operation as simple as install-next-next-finish, but as soon as it runs and you manage to configure it properly for your needs, It might be a pretty good performance asset for your online presence.

One of the issues you might encounter is that the APC cache is resetting every 2 hours (maybe sooner, maybe later). This is mainly caused by Apache’s logging in cPanel environment. The solution to this issue is pretty simple. You will need to activate piped Apache logs:

AccesWHM > Apache Configuration > Piped Log Configuration

Here, check the Enable Piped Apache Logs and click on Save. I recommend that you restart Apache as well after this.

Now APC should run correctly on your cPanel server, with uptimes that will exceed the reset times encountered before.
